2025 Free Tax Prep Programs
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program provides free tax preparation services to thousands of moderate and limited-income Pierce County residents each year during the tax season.
Help is by appointment only. For appointments, please call South Sound 2-1-1 by dialing 2-1-1, to schedule appointments at the following locations:
Fife Pierce County Library, 6622 20th St. E., Fife, WA 98424
- Fridays, Feb. 7 – April 11 from 12:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Key Center Pierce County Library, 8905 Key Peninsula Hwy NW, Lakebay, WA 98349
- Mondays, Feb. 3 – April 14 (except for March. 17) from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Parkland/Spanaway Pierce County Library, 13718 Pacific Ave. S., Tacoma, WA 98444
- Thursdays, Feb. 6 – April 10 from 1 – 6 p.m.
- Saturdays, Feb. 1 – April 12 from 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

- Do your own taxes with phone support from a volunteer or send copies of your documents electronically and a volunteer can do your taxes for you remotely. For households with moderate and limited income.

- Select free forms and instructions are available at most library locations from late February through the tax deadline, while supplies last.
- Print additional forms and instructions from the IRS website. Use your printer or ours!
