Need help with your taxes? The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to people with moderate and limited incomes, persons with disabilities and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns.
Appointments are required. To make an appointment:

- Get remote tax preparation services and support from an IRS-certified volunteer, or file yourself. For households with moderate and limited income.
- Use this free website for households with moderate and limited income.
- Check out this service for people who know how to prepare their own tax forms. Brand-name tax software or online fillable forms plus electronic file is available.
Get tax forms
- Select free forms and instructions are available at most library locations from late February through the tax deadline, while supplies last.
- Print additional forms and instructions from the IRS website. Use your printer or ours!
- Print state tax forms from throughout the U.S. Find your state tax form.
Get general tax information
- Find additional tax help through your local Taxpayer Assistance Office.
- Get property tax information and parcel search for Pierce County.
- Find online filing and information on business taxes in Washington state, including area sales tax rates.
- Access resources for small businesses, self-employed or contract employees.
