Working with you to develop a library you will love.

Thanks to the community for helping the Pierce County Library System create a new strategic plan. Nearly 3,000 community members and Library staff gave input to develop the new plan.

In addition to a new direction, we updated our vision, mission and values and the Library’s Board of Trustees approved this in December 2024.

The strategy pairs what is happening in your life and in your community with priority library services:

  • Enhance library experiences.
  • Welcoming and inclusive spaces and services.
  • Emphasize strategic partnerships.
  • Build a sustainable future.

The strategic plan will guide how the Library’s services will meet individual, family and community needs. We are committed to getting you the library services you can really use, when and where you need them.
