Teen Council
Join Teen Council during the school year!
Pierce County Library System Teen Councils run October through April and offer a flexible, drop-in opportunity for teens to have fun while shaping what the library offers for youth. You’ll work on service projects, help plan programs, and share your opinions, all while spending time with other teens and earning volunteer hours. There is no application.
Teen Councils are for teens who are:
- Ages 13–19.
- Excited to share ideas and give feedback on community programs and services.
- Looking to connect with other teens, make friends, and have fun.
- Wanting to earn volunteer hours while building leadership and job skills.
How to Join
Just come to a meeting! Teen Councils meet at select Pierce County Library branches and community locations. If you can’t make it in person, you can also join Virtual Teen Council to connect online with teens from across the county. Both options are flexible: every teen is welcome to come when you can.
Teen Council locations for 2026-2027 include:
- Bonney Lake Library
- Buckley Library
- DuPont Library
- Franklin Pierce Schools
- Gig Harbor Library
- Parkland/Spanaway Library
- Red Barn Youth Center
- Steilacoom Library

Note: locations are subject to change throughout the year.
