Opportunities for Performers and Presenters 

Thank you for your interest in working with the Pierce County Library System. We’re excited to learn more about presenters who can inspire curiosity, spark creativity and help strengthen community connections across Pierce County. Our libraries host programs for children, teens, adults and intergenerational audiences and we welcome proposals that bring learning, culture and joyful engagement to the communities we serve. 

Our programs take place in libraries, community venues and online.  

We seek presenters who are willing and able to offer programs at three or more library locations to support equitable access throughout the county. 

We collaborate with presenters who create meaningful, engaging experiences for people of all ages. This includes programs designed for youth and families, teens, adults and intergenerational groups. We welcome a wide range of offerings—such as creative workshops, cultural or heritage-focused presentations, STEAM or maker programs, music and performance-based sessions, author talks and hands-on activities.

All Pierce County Library System programs are selected and developed to support our mission, vision and values. We are seeking performances, presentations, and workshops that accomplish one or more of the following outcomes:

  • Creates inclusive, welcoming experiences for youth, teens, adults or multigenerational audiences.
  • Encourages curiosity, learning, creativity or skill-building across a variety of topics and interests.
  • Reflects or celebrates diverse cultures, perspectives and lived experiences with respect and authenticity.
  • Strengthens community connection by bringing people together through shared ideas, stories or activities.

To ensure fairness and consistency:

  • Proposals are reviewed quarterly.
  • A Programs & Services Coordinator will contact applicants during the review period to respond to your application.
  • Not all proposals will be added to the Library’s program catalog, but every submission is given thoughtful consideration and evaluated with the same criteria.
